Lavender essential oilI was saddened when walgreens decided to stop selling this brand.I use it in my skin care regimens I use African black soap its this crazy deep cleansing soap made by women in Ghana I buy from Aromadepot on eBay seller. (also natural shea butter as a moisturizer)1.) Anyways cleasing soniclear brush, wet it and lather black soap on brush and go over my face for about 2min, rinse.2.) I have the small roller ball version of this oil (I buy the big one to refill it.) I go over most of my face with roller ball so my face is covered mostly(lavender essential oil is antibacterial naturally).3.) I fluctuate between natural moisturizers but I bought "shea butter" and I use it to re-moisten my skin.... Or I also use "vitamin e oil" because it brightens my skin in the A.M. when I wake up and plumps my dark circles so i dont look sleepy....and my last option I use for moisturizers "avocado oil" it also brightens the skin but it leaves me with a dewy fresh look I actually use it as a body oil as well because it softens my skin. This is my natural skin care routine I literally only wear mascara sometimes eyeliner and eyeshadow but I STOPPED wearing make-up because my skin looks so good without it. I'm saving money I'm already winning.
I didn't realize that this was lavandin and that's my fault. I was looking for a lavender oil that I could mix with bergamot oil to make a simple perfume but this was not a great smell. I have since learned the difference between Lavandula angustifolia and lavandin - the former being the intoxicating lavender smell that's rich and complex and the latter being... not... that haha. I'm sure this has it's uses but I didn't even like it on my wool dryer balls. Now it just sits unused in a cabinet.
I am very sensitive to scents and I'm allergic to most perfumes. There is a girl at work who wears way too much perfume to begin with and will even put more on throughout the day. This was making my sinuses completely irritated and they would block up and my nose would run, or my sinuses would drip down the back of my throat making me cough a LOT, this is not a good thing to have happen in the covid pandemic. I was researching how to combat the scent sensitivity, and reputable sources told me lavender will help. I was looking for a lavender scent that would block out the obnoxious perfume of the girl, without being overpowering. I found it in this product. Because of covid, we are all wearing masks, so I spray some on my mask and breathe happily all day long. I don't know how I'm going to justify the lavender scented cloth over my face after covid, but I'll tackle that when the time comes.
